Agriculture
Our
Mission
Tribal Agriculture Program is a funded function with the Self Governance Multi Year Funding Agreement (MYFA), 2022 thru 2026, with the Department of Interior. Our Agriculture program serves our Tribal Farmers in a supportive resource to our Tribal Farmers by providing Farm Tractor services for Tribal Members, Plowing, Disc Fields, Cutting Hay, Raking, including helping in snow removal and clearing snow from tribal roadways and at times, tribal member homes that have significant snowfall in their roadways, and many other agriculture services. Tribal Farmers who wish to have agriculture services scheduled, must submit a Work Order to our Agriculture Department, and Mr. Gilbert Naranjo will contact you to discuss and plan out the farming work.
Continue to provide the day-to-day Farm Tractor Operator aid to Tribal Farmers. In addition to Collaborating with other Tribal Departments e.g. Forestry, Environment, and Youth & Learning, on joint projects, seeking and pursing funding for agriculture programs, and establish a partnership with tribal and community resources.
